Jenna’s Chocolate Pie

Jenna’s Chocolate Cream Pie!   2 ½ cups whole milk ½ cup sugar ¼ cup corn starch 3 egg yolks ¼ tsp salt 8 oz semisweet chocolate chips 4 Tbs butter, cubed 9 inch pie crust 1 cup heavy cream ¼ cup shaved chocolate     In a saucepan heat milk, sugar, cornstarch, yolks, and salt. Whisk and cook for 8 minutes until its thick and creamy. Then add chocolate and butter. Pour mixture into pie crust and chill until its firm, about 5 hours. When you’re ready to serve it, whip the heavy cream and top the pie with the whipped cream and chocolate shavings.   Voilà, the best chocolate cream pie you’ll ever taste.
