Taking Care Of Your Skin

A lot of the sissies I speak to ask me about skin care. I give them some tips but I thought I would put something more in depth here. So here you go, a few basic things that you should do to keep your skin healthy and beautiful: 1. Protect yourself from the sun The most important way to take care of your skin is to protect it from the sun. A lifetime of sun exposure can cause wrinkles, freckles, age spots and rough, dry skin. Sun exposure can also cause more-serious problems, such as skin cancer. For the most complete sun protection: * Avoid the sun between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. This is when the sun’s rays are the strongest. * Wear protective clothing. Cover your skin with tightly woven long-sleeved shirts, long pants and wide-brimmed hats. You might also opt for special sun-protective clothing, which is specifically designed to block ultraviolet rays while keeping you cool and comfortable. * Use sunscreen when you’re in the sun. Apply generous amounts of broad-spectrum sunscreen 30 minutes before going outdoors and reapply every two hours, after heavy sweating or after being in water. 2. Don’t smoke Smoking makes your skin look older and contributes to wrinkles. Smoking narrows the tiny blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin, which decreases blood flow. This depletes the skin of oxygen and nutrients, such as vitamin A, that are important to skin health. Smoking also damages collagen and elastin — fibers that give your skin its strength and elasticity. In addition, the repetitive facial expressions you make when smoking — such as pursing your lips when inhaling and squinting your eyes to keep out smoke — may contribute to wrinkles. If you smoke, the best way to protect your skin is to quit. Ask your doctor for tips or treatments to help you stop smoking. 3. Treat your skin gently Daily cleansing and shaving can take a toll on your skin, so keep it gentle: * Limit bath time. Hot water and long showers or baths remove oils from your skin. Limit your bath or shower time, and use warm — rather than hot — water. * Avoid strong soaps. Strong soaps can strip oil from your skin. Instead, choose mild cleansers. * Shave carefully. To protect and lubricate your skin, apply shaving cream, lotion or gel before shaving. For the closest shave, use a clean, sharp razor. Shave in the direction the hair grows, not against it. * Pat dry. After washing or bathing, gently pat or blot your skin dry with a towel so that some moisture remains on your skin. * Moisturize dry skin. Find a moisturizer that fits your skin type and makes your skin look and feel soft. 4. Eat a healthy diet A healthy diet can help you look and feel your best. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. The association between diet and acne isn’t clear — but research suggests that a diet rich in vitamin C and low in fats and carbohydrates may promote younger looking skin. 5. Manage stress Uncontrolled stress can make your skin more sensitive and trigger acne breakouts and other skin problems. To encourage healthy skin — and a healthy state of mind — takes steps to manage your stress. Set reasonable limits, scale back your to-do list and make time to do the things you enjoy. The results may be more dramatic than you expect. If you do those few things you will be looking more gorgeous in no time at all. Mommy Liz 1-888-430-2010

Next Up!

Well, another Thanksgivings has come to pass and Next Up is Christmas. Not much time left to prepare. I myself have my tree up, house is decorated for the most part, shopping is close to complete and fun activities are underway. Some of my favorite things to do during the winter season is enjoying the outdoors, carriage rides down town, taking long drives to look at the lights, bundling up and taking late night stroll under the moon in the fresh crisp air of the night, and relaxing at a quaint cafe while make my list of who has been naughty and nice. Inside my home Christmas music will play, lights will flicker, candles are lit, punch bowl will be full, and the smell of fresh baked cookies will fill the house. Mommy looks forward to spending time with my babies most of all, sharing in Christmas activities, maybe watching a Christmas Show together while were in the chatroom, snuggling with you keeping you warm, dressing you up in your Christmas attire and having your pictures taken with Santa. Mommy is very excited to share in all your winter season festivities and hope to bring a touch of home and love to your hearts and days! Mommy Sara 1 888 430 2010

Baking Time

Fall and Winter are my favorite times of the years, summer can suck it! lol Anyway, one of the reasons that it is, that it seems like this is when Mom’s, Grandma’s, Sister’s, yadda yadda bake. There is nothing better, then being outside running around, having some fun in the cool crisp air, then coming into the house and being met by the awesome aroma of fresh cookies or pie or bread or cake or whatever. It’s the most comforting feeling in the world. Now usually when I bake my stuff looks like this: or like this: (if you step away from your screen and look at these cookies, don’t the little house ones look like someone’s pants that are hiked WAY up, I call them high crotch cookies) But this year is going to be different. Oh yes I am determined to bake up a storm and not burn my house down in the process. Stacie 1-888-430-2010

It sure has been storming a lot in my neck of the woods. Time for some indoor fun and games! I love to color and finger paint with my little ones. Or maybe we’ll make some cookies together. We can play Peek-a-Boo, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and my favorite, This Little Piggy! Now doesn’t that sound like a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon? Mommy Gina 1-888-430-2010

Diaper Dreams

Mommy Lauren was talking to one of her most special abies on the phone and he told me about a very happy dream that he had. My abie had a special dream that Mommy Lauren brought home a most wonderful surprise a beautiful basket full of assorted diapers. Disposable and cloth of every single color and style. As my abie looked through the basket with much delight he also found plastic panties in all colors some with ruffles some plain and matching bonnets and bibs. We spent the entire afternoon trying on all the new and wonderful abie things and at the end of the day Mommy Lauren nursed her abie to sleep so he could have more special diaper dreams. Call Mommy Lauren now for your special surprise .. oh the fun we will have!

I so enjoy my talks with my diaper lovers. Sometimes we role play and sometimes we just talk about our love of diapers. We have such a great time on the phone the time just fly’s by. Talking about the feel and crinkle of that diaper is super HOT. *giggles* I can not wait to talk to you. What will we talk about?? hhhmmmm Diaper play, a bit of role play, or just talk about wearing and were we went in our diapers. *giggles* Mommy Lexus 1-888-430-2010
